Best Keyboard For Mac Mini M1

Recommended mouse & keyboard for new Mac Mini?

Just purchased a new Mac Mini 16/512 and wanted to ask what keyboard and mouse all of you use or would recommend? Apples magic keyboard and mouse are quit expensive and wondered if a Logitech or other kb/mouse combo would work as well? TIA!

Thanks everyone for your recommendations! Settled on the MX Keys keyboard and the MX Anywhere 3 mouse (like the smaller form factor).

If you aren't going Apple, I'd recommend any Keychron (they make wired and wireless mechanical keyboards for Macs, I love my K6 but the low profile options are great too) Keyboard and the MX Master 3. Fair warning, mechanical keyboards are addictive and should be used with caution. ;) On a serious note, you might want to consider a wired keyboard option to avoid any Bluetooth issues that some have experienced.

I use the Apple magic keyboard at work and the MX Keys at home. As for the mouse, I take my MX Master 3 back and forth and have yet to find a mouse that I like better.

Apple magic keyboard and the Logitech g304, have the space grey Magic Mouse just for scrolling though documents and web pages.

I use an old Apple Wireless keyboard and a standard Microsoft 2-button mouse (LED, no balls).

I don't know about other bluetooth mice but if you use the MX Master 3 make sure you use the unifying receiver instead of the bluetooth connection. Via bluetooth I experience cursor jumps/lag but with the receiver it works ok.

I ended up going with the official Magic Keyboard 2 and Magic Mouse 2. I also bought the Magic Trackpad 2 to help with editing tasks.

I haven't had any bluetooth issues with them on my M1 Mac mini...

Apple magic keyboard. Tons of them available on used market. No need to buy new.

Magic trackpad is far better than the mouse, IMO. The OS has a lot of useful gestures and even just for navigation the large surface is brilliant.

I use the Logitech K860 keyboard and mx master 3 mouse. I love the combination. I agree with the other comment about using the unifying receiver from Logitech. The one dongle connects both pieces to computer. I don't use it Bluetooth.

You may find that your Logitech keyboard and mouse are not recognized by your machine upon booting up (no way to sign in). To fix, either pair them with a unifying receiver or disable FileVault on the Mac.
